AECI Mining Explosives is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction. In the mining industry, we have a wealth of experience across the spectrum of mining methods and minerals including coal, chrome, gold, iron, platinum and uranium. We offer the latest generation of products and services for blasting operations.
Products and services
We manufacture in excess of 120 million detonator assemblies and more than 420 000 tonnes of world-class quality ammonium nitrate in both dense and porous prill forms. We also produce ammonium nitrate solution.
Our scalable bulk emulsion manufacturing plants provide the business with the ability to deploy rapidly to new regions and customer sites and, from them, to produce a wide series of emulsion explosive products to provide leading-edge solutions.
We invest in and contribute meaningfully to all economies in regions where we operate through our meticulous care for our diverse stakeholders and the environment for current and future generations.
We have more than 3 000 employees servicing 16 businesses, 58 plants and 34 sites in more than 20 countries in Africa and select international regions in South East Asia, Australia, South America and Europe.
